Continuing education credit
This Web site offers continuing education credit for home child care providers in New Mexico. This service is offered in conjunction with the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD).
The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) provides prevention, intervention, and rehabilitative services to New Mexico children and their families. It focuses on building and maintaining strong partnerships with child care providers. The Family Nutrition Bureau (FNB) administers the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in New Mexico. Child care providers can receive reimbursement for up to two main meals and one snack per child, per day. There are USDA nutrition requirements and other simple guidelines to follow in order to qualify for these funds. For more information on how to qualify, contact our offices in Santa Fe (575-827-9961) or Albuquerque (575-841-4856) or visit the CYFD web site at www.cyfd.org.
The information on this web site is still relevant if you work in another state. Because your state's health and safety standards may be slightly different, consult with your health department.
